June 9 & 10 – Duluth Nordic Music Festival (Duluth, MN)
Hosted by Duluth’s Nordic Center, this is the first annual Nordic music festival! A full weekend of performances, with free (but limited) general admission and special ticket prices for music workshops, specific events, and more. Find out more here.
June 13 – Midtsommer Gala – Norway House (Minneapolis, MN)
The event is a major fundraising effort for Norway House and includes a seated dinner and reception with a three course menu and drink vouchers. While the Gala is currently sold out, Norway House is offering an after-party event, starting at 7:30 pm for $50. You can purchase tickets here, and see all of the information below.
June 17 – American Swedish Institute Midsommar Celebration (Minneapolis, MN)
Get a coveted ticket to this extremely popular Swedish inspired event! This is the biggest Midsommar party in the state, and the most authentic. With live music, food and drink, family activities and crafts, and of course dancing! Pick your ticket time here and get more information.
June 17 – Nordic Midsummer Fest (Burnsville, MN – Buck Hill)
This major festival is in its 2nd year at Buck Hill in Burnsville. Taking the torch from the beloved Norway Day at Minnehaha Falls, this event has food and drink, live entertainment, shopping, activities, and reenactments. Find more information here. Tickets are $10 for those above 14.
June 17 – Franconia Midsummer Festival (Shafer, MN)
This solstice celebration is free and open to the public. This will be an evening filled with performances and workshops, all honoring the longest day of the year. Find more information here.
June 23 & June 24 – Gammel Dag (Peterson, MN)
The 42nd annual Midsummer Festival in Peterson! A celebration of Scandinavian heritage and tradition. A morning parade is followed by craft demos, live performances, food and drink for sale, games, and other activities. Find more information here and plan your trip.
June 24 – Gammelgården Museum Midsommar Dagen (Scandia, MN)
Scandia’s Swedish museum’s annual Midsommar day! In addition to folk dancing and a craft fair, there will be traditional Swedish music and a focus on children’s activities, with the Majstång in the center of it all, decorated with spring blooms and vines. Visit their site here.
June 24 – Red Pine Winery Midsummer Celebration (Cambridge, MN)
For $20 you can join in the fun at Red Pine Winery. Day’s activities include flower crowns, a food truck, herring tasting and music! Get tickets here.
June 25 – Scandinavian Summer Fest (Minnehaha Falls, Minneapolis, MN)
