Welcome to our blog!
We here at Ingebretsen’s have long valued the communication we have with you, our customers. We love sharing our passion for and knowledge of our Nordic heritage, and hearing from and learning from you, as well. With that in mind, we are evolving our e-newsletter into a blog! This will give us more flexibility and make it easier for you to interact with us. And each blog will be saved in a searchable archive, making it easier to find information.
We look forward to sharing new products, fun ideas, special events and much, much more! Let us know what you think.
All the best,
Julie Ingebretsen and the rest of the staff
We have a really cool exhibit in our classroom!
Right now, our classroom, which is connected to our needlework shop (next door to the main gift shop and meat market), is home to an excellent exhibit of paper cutting from Proongily.
If you’ve been into our store, you may have seen some of the wonderful paper cut ornaments, cards, place cards, trees and runners, which Proongily has to offer. Now–but only for a limited time–in addition to carrying all of those great products, we are pleased to be able to house this impressive collection of artwork.
Paper cutting has a long and varied history in many parts of the world–Scandinavia is no exception–and the artist behind Proongily, Cynthia McKeen, has a rich background with influences from diverse places including Denmark, Japan and, of course, the Upper-Midwestern United States.
This exhibit is can’t-miss and we would, therefore, like to invite and encourage everyone to come and see it. As always, there are complementary pepparkakor (cookies) and coffee in the classroom, so come on in and enjoy!
The proongilly?? Paper cutting exhibit sounds great. My 3 sisters and I are coming to your store later in May. We are doing a
Scandinavian weekend and you ate high on the list. Looking forward to showing your store to my sisters from Texas amd Arkansas.
Welcome to the store! We look forward to your visit later in May.
I welcome hearing more about Ingetretsons new venture. Even though I’m in upstate, I am very interested in what you have to offer.
I look forward to hearing all about your new products via internet.
That exhibit is *amazing*. I assume it was going back up after the employee Flea Market? Or have I missed my chance to see it again?
Hej Laurie! You’re in luck, the exhibit is indeed up again after the employee flea market. Välkommen!
